La Loupiote suggests you her phial “Unicorn Blood”. It is an entirely handmade piece made in her workshop in Normandy, France. When you gently shakes it, you can see an iridescent effect. After having put it next to a source of light for about 15 minutes, it glows in the dark. Do not drink.
The story of Unicorn Blood
This majestic animal which represents purity and chastity has not always been so popular. In the Bible, Saint Basile warns men against this ‘demon’. It is only in the 12th century that the legendary image of the unicorn will be spread. Unfortunately, it led kings and princes to desire a piece of these wonderful creatures. They all wanted to have one as a trophy to establish their might and power over other leaders. So experienced hunters captured the unicorn by asking a pure young maid to sit in the woods. The animal was drawn to her by the smell of purity and put her head on the girl’s laps. The rogues thus captured or killed the animal to make money. Its extremely rare blood cost a fortune. It is said that drinking unicorn’s blood makes you live longer but one curses their souls and sells it to the devil.

La Loupiote – veilleuses féeriques is a shop that was created in 2020 by the artist “La Loupiote”, a word which has a double meaning in French.
It refers to a small light or a small child. How fitting this name is for someone who creates night-lights in the shapes of small fairy houses !
These magical small lamps which are inspired by the enchanting world of the Faery Folk illuminate the eyes of young and old people alike.
